The second Ossetian newspaper «Ног цард» (the New Life) was published in Tiflis by the Ossetian Publishing Society from March 8 to December 23, 1907. The first editor was Petr Gulich Tedeyev. The first issue of the newspaper came out on March 8, 1907, and from No. 18 (May 18) until the end of the newspaper’s existence (December 23), the editor was Tadioz Tedeev, a railway worker at the Tiflis depot. This was done for conspiracy purposes. In fact, the editorial work was carried out by the entire editorial board consisting of: P.G. Tedeev, B.P. Kochiev, N.Z. Dzhioev, A. Tibilov, D. Kozaev, Ivan Abaev and clerk Khaltsikho Tomaev, an employee of the railway department. The newspaper was printed in the printing house of the Georgian Association in large format. It came out twice a week and was progressive. “Nog Tzard” pursued the same goals as the first Ossetian newspaper, “Iron Gazet” – the development of education and culture. From March 26, 1907, Khristofor (Pora) Zurabovich Dzhioev, the censor of the Tiflis Committee for the Press, became the official censor of the “Nog Tzard” newspaper.
